ppi - disputing cmc

Hi
I have made a formal complaint with the cmc
Apart from telling me the claim was for a card number the bank have told me its a different number after I contacted the bank to say that I was unhappy with cmc
I have sent emails to cmc compliance depart but have had no response
The cmc now want paying for a claim on a card that as far as I am concerned hasn't been done
Do I need to pay

Cant recall signing one
I am also concerned that they have never informed me of the card number was successful
They requested a letter of authority but I didn't return it0 -
Card numbers may be different, but the account is the same. No longer recalling that you signed an agreement does not mean you won't have to pay them.....0
