help ....the claim guys

I had the claim guys working on ppi ....please don't shoot me down back in December 2015.... Despite numerous calls and emails them my claim was never sorted even though they said there was PPI anyway I put a complaint into them and they said that the card number ending in...was where the ppi was. However I contacted the bank through their website and I have been awarded money on a different card number. The claim guys now want money but I have nothing in writing from them with the correct card number what do I do

What did you agree to when you signed up with the claim guys?

This is a typical ppi story really, you do all the work (apart from licking a stamp maybe) and they get a cut of the rewards!

Cant remember as it was 2015 they sent me a letter of authority in April 2017 but I didn't return it

Unless you cancelled your cntract with them you'll proably find in your contract terms and conditions that they are entitled to a share in any future PPI complaint.
However, if you made a complaint about the credit card, and it was rejected, and the bank have now investigated it again, you may not have to pay them.
Ask the bank if the credit card is the same credit card, as the numbers change but it's usually the same one.
