I'd get him to the vet. Would be useful to take a stool sample with you.
    Hope he's ok

That sounds like it could possibly be colitis, which can be triggered by food or by stress, depending on the dog. Goes along with a horrible slimy coat on the poo. Might be worth a vet visit if it's got to the blood in pooh stage, but it's easily sorted.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Could be caused by several different things, including gastrointestinal problems, parasitic infection, viral infection and others.
Most easier to treat if caught early.

The vet says that he has a swollen intestine and it is probably inflamed because of this so she gave me a course of antibiotics for him, no clue as to what caused it though.

Happy to hear that it doesn't seem to be anything too serious:)
Hopefully the antibiotics will sort him out.
Could he have eaten something he shouldn't have while 'out and about'?

He tries to eat everything he sees when we are out from cat/dog poo to thrown away takeaway to bits of earth or concrete
Whether he gets to eat it or not depends on who sees it first and if I am quick enough to drag him away :rotfl:

He seems a bit lethargic at home today but still highly active when we go out walking.
He was back to eating grass this morning so I just left him to it and 2 minutes later he vomited up the grass he had just eaten but nothing else _pale_
