Something possibly snapped on car?

yup,so its the drop link. Common fail on many cars.
cheap and easy to replace.0 -
If it's a drop link, then Peugeot may still use the plastic one's (certainly did on my 306 many years ago). As I understand it, they're quite cheap even from Peugeot themselves.
If you can get a photo, then we'll hopefully be able to tell you for sure and help to stop you getting taken for a mug. Also if your "trusted garage" try it on, you'll know to start looking for another garage in future.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Going back to a previous comment... replacing springs in pairs hasn't been common practice for a long time. I work in the industry and can't even remember the last time I did a pair because one had snapped0

But to be fair, that might be because most people don't like paying to fix something that's not broken.
The same sort or people who do a cambelt change but forgo the tensioner, rollers and water pump.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

No it's because it's not necessary. Handling is seldomly affected in reality. It's how it is across the board. I've seen main dealers doing single springs as well.
Your comparison to a timing belt kit is very naive0 -

Of course handling is affected, the question is whether the average Joe would notice it....... In case of OP, something is broken but they haven't noticed any difference.
On my Mondeo, I just had a new set of tyres fitted, there was a mistake on the order and their supplier only sent 3 tyres, so I have one odd tyre on the front LH side until next week, most people would never notice, but I do as soon as I put that car into a RH corner.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Is the deg getting too much? Maybe a switch to ultra soft would help in the faster corners, or maybe a turn more front wing?0 -
Sorry for not posting in a while - been away with no internet. So, quite embarrassingly, it appears that car is absolutely fine and it's just how it's built. I trust my garage (especially since they've had it for two days and not charged me a penny) when they could have said it needed loads done.
Still, better safe than sorry I suppose!0
