I would just take the chance to confirm you didn't actually see him doing more than the usual toilet uses and clarify that you did not say that in your first statement that was only added later under some duress ( and it was a opinion only )

They wont be able to do much about it then unless he did have !!!!!! on his laptop in which case more fool him.

Distance yourself is my advice!

I think you may find that nobody believes you because (a)your posts are increasingly unbelievable, and (b) you are routinely offensive towards other posters in a quite unnecessary way. Having not done so, you then went on to make it worse. What answer are you expecting to get then? They won't believe you when you say you didn't put a name to this rumour - why should they? And unless the guy implicated in this by someone is an idiot, there is nothing on his laptop because he'd expect it to be checked. Assuming he didn't demand that it was checked.

So, - abject apology for starting rumours, but you didn't put a name to this "person". Assuming you didn't make this whole incident up to stir up a boring day at work - because it does appear to be unbelievable.

And disabled people don't use that loo because it is private and more spacious. They do so because it is the only one that they can use. Stop being such a selfish p******.

If he says that then he will be asked why he started the rumor that some 'innocent' guy was doing naughty things in the toilets. He cant distance himself from this because he is one of the two central figures, the other being the guy on the toilet.

You messed up when you shared it with another person and it was overheard, then the rumors started.

IMO just hope they find something incriminating on his laptop, you'll probably just get a warning for starting the rumor in that case.
