Your LL should pay the cancellation fee.

There is no chance of this happening, the LL has no obligation to the OP to allow holes to be drilled in the property.

Why was the issue of taking your services with you to a new address part of the selection criteroa when looking for a new place to live, would have negated the issue you find yourself in. Its what I would ask if I was looking for a place to rent, I would look for a place that would allow me to move my services and if this couldnt be done Id pay the charge.

Apologies if you had done the above OP.

Oh forgot to say just pay the early termination charge, VM aren't at fault and your wasting the time at CISAS with this.

Does the new place have Sky Or BT ect...if so would using the existing entry points be a possibility.?

Ive used this on my own house to keep holes (bricks blow easily) to a minimum.

Might be worth asking Land Lord.
