Depends on what impact it has had on you0

what do you mean! imagine a stranger sharing all your information for so long. and that person went to the bank every time he got a letter but it didn't help0

What they mean is....have you suffered any financial loss? Has it affected your credit rating? Have you lost work because of it? In other words, has there been any material loss or just inconvenience and indignance?I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

just inconvenience and indignance0

So no actual loss then through fraud or anything
In which case it was an unfortunate mistake but no cause for compensationEx forum ambassador

You can 'claim' for your reasonable costs in dealing with the matter. So that's what you incurred 10 years ago over the 2 week period (say £20), and an amount for the 30 minutes it'll take you to write your formal complaint (say £5). Oh, and a stamp for the envelope (say 56p). So that's a total of £25.56
The next thing is distress and inconvenience. Again, you've only experienced this in two short periods, so say £50
Total £75.56
Would you be happy with that? If not, how much do you want?0 -
i believe i sh'd be able to claim some compensation0

Whatever you get, be sure to claim extra to compensate this other person for their petrol and fax paper costs.0 -
