No Broadband

Afternoon,

We are about to move into a new build house, but I have just been advised that there is no wiring etc in the estate for Broadband. Is there anything that we can do or purchase to improve the internet connection

    4G router and sim.

Usually come with a 12 months tie in and not a huge amount of monthly data.

Any idea on how long for the infrastructure to be installed?

You won't be getting a landline anytime soon either then.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

For a phone or broadband, as they come down the same cable.

Looks like mobile broadband will be you only option for a while, as Lee says.

Have BT really not installed a line on this new estate .
This line used to be called a phone line and is now a data line that phone calls and broadband travel along .

Whilst it's not totally their responsibility, they absolutely need to be in regular contact with Openreach to find out what's going on and why there's a delay.

Often, Openreach get the blame when it's actually the developers who haven't given Openreach enough notice, or haven't installed the ducting and joint boxes to the standard that Openreach require.

If this is a large developer, I suggest you speak to higher management to find out what's going on.

Have you spoken to a service provider to see if they can place an order?

Does the sales office not have a working telephone line?

How many properties are occupied and how long have they been occupied?
