After research decided to buy indesit eco w/machine and extended guarantee. On the indesit website it states that a 40 degree wash should be 45minutes....in the info that came with machine there is no such programme.! Have had 2 engineers out and both say no problem with it....have another one coming out tomorrow !! Nobody seems to be able to tell me which information is correct. This machine is still on wash cycle after 2 hours on the eco setting which todays engineer thought should fix problem . Have contacted indesit and smartcare (my plan is through them) nobody seems to be able to tell me anything other than there is no problem with it. Who do i go to if tomorrows engineer states the same ?
Am i entitled to a refund as machine is a year old ? Not happy as indesit gave incorrect information whvch is still on the website

A year old!!?!?! Had you asked for a refund when you first noticed the issue you'd have had a lot more sympathy than you're likely to get now.0

Have you spoken to whoever sold the thing to you?
Why has it taken a year to effectively discover the machine doesn't meet its specification?
After a year and if there is no fault, then no you cannot expect a refund from the seller under your statutory rights.
You will need to study your extended warrant documentation to find out whether it offers a refund in such circumstances, but I suspect the best it will offer is a replacement machine - not a refund.0 -

Moved house last year so machine was in storage for a while . Mostly use other programmes as wash a lot of bedding for my father so never needed to use this programme.0

OP what model did you purchase and are you sure you're looking at the specifications for the correct model? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Is it one that calculates the weight of the load? Maybe you are overloading it for the setting so it adjusts itself to actually clean the clothes instead of running an inadequate wash0

Does this website still say this? Or do you have a copy of the page, because you will need to prove what it says to be in with a chance.
Can you provide the link so we can take a look? Sometimes there are disclaimers.0 -

Tbh I think OP is referring to the "innovative technology" part on indesits product pages - which seems to be generic advertising bumph and not tailored to the individual machines (when you go into the technical specifications, sometimes the model doesn't have all the features mentioned in the innovative technology part).
And the innovative technology part says something like:The Cotton 40 programme is specifically designed to provide extra care for your cotton items while removing stains at 40°, in just 45 minutes.
Yet even machines who have this program, usually take around 3 hours (according to technical specs/manuals) to complete a full cycle. So I think its possible the above relates only to stain removal and not to rinsing or spinning. You keep using that word. If you never needed to use this programme, what is the issue?
What about the other questions I asked?0 -
What is the model number of the machine please?0
