That's a standard template response from Laura J.
There are comments in the public domain that suggest that Athena provide the backroom administration of the ticket and are paid a fee for that service, while Lidl collect the balance (and lion's share). Not corroborated, but it's been commented on more than enough times to raise eyebrows.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
