Lidil Clapham- Athena ANPR Ltd

Not come up against this outfit.

One of our works vehicles visited for 22 mins to buy lunch. Saw 1.5 hrs free and didn't see the smaller print that you had to enter your reg in the store. Paid cash no receipt.

Were there 22 mins!

I have sent the standard IPC appeal to the operator and emailed the CEO complaining about the signage.

    didn;t work>

    Re: Parking Charge
Thank you for taking the time to contact our CEO. I have been asked to respond to you on his behalf.
The most efficient way to appeal your parking charge is to do so with the Car Park Management company direct. Details of how to do this will be on the parking charge notice you have received. If you still wish for us to do this on your behalf, we kindly request the following:
    · A receipt, this may be for the date of the contravention or prior visits. Please note for Data Protection reasons, we cannot accept bank statements as proof of shopping, any bank statements sent in to us will be deleted from our system.
    · Your Vehicle Registration Number
Please send these details direct to the address below, quoting your reference or reply directly to this email (without deleting the subject line):

We hope that this matter is brought to a speedy and efficient conclusion. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Insist that this is cancelled by Lidl, who are the principle in this unregulated scam.

The IPC is an incestuous group, owning the allegedly independent IAS who guarantee their members they will reject a minimum 80% of appeals, and the solicitors company that will then take genuine customers to court when the IAS have automatically rejected the appeal.
The IAS always breach the ADR Act 2015 when they make a rejection, thus ignoring the will of parliament. (They don't name the assessors.)

In other words, appealing to the scammers is pointless and unfair. You want Lidl, as principle, to cancel this, not appeal on your behalf to using an unfair and biased system.

Leave negative feedback on social media, and make sure no employee, friend , or family ever visit this retailer again.

Well no they want proof of purchase/s and wont take bank statements.

Since our member staff bought something for dinner and didn't keep the receipt not very helpful.

    I did send them a response>

    Laura/Christian,

A formal appeal has been put to the Operator as a matter of course.

You have not responded to the issue I raised over the signage at your store.

    There are two keys reasons I wrote directly to Lidil rather than the Parking Operator;

    1) The store and carpark are your property/leased to Lidl UK GmbH; The signage which is not displayed clearly at the entrance as would be a requirement of BPA Operator. The signage viewable from your vehicle makes statements such as “FREE PARKING” 1 & ½ HOURS” the 10 minutes only if you don’t enter your registration is so small not very helpful for your customers, unless they walk within 10 feet of the sign to fully read all the small printed terms and conditions.
    2) The staff member driving purchased a small amount of food (hence only 22 minutes onsite) with cash (I note they don’t accept bank statements anyway) and left. As with myself small purchases of food and drink I rarely retain receipts for lunch or snacks. Therefore, the staff member does not have proof of purchase. The staff member saw 1 ½ hours free parking and since they were a genuine customer did not get close enough to your operator’s unclear and small signage to read the fine print.

I visit several local Lidil Stores to carry out my family shopping spending more than £100 per week. I am now seriously considering taking my business elsewhere due to Lidil’s poor attitude to Parking Management. Unclear signage and an Operator who was BPA now the lessor IPC Membership.

    Furthermore…

I would at this point like to remind you that you are jointly and severally liable for the actions of your agents/operators, Athena ANPR Ltd.

I would request the ticket is cancelled immediately or I will be forced to consider legal action.

    Yours sincerely

    Surveyor

They have given in but say parking and signage is not their concern and they have agreement with operators not to interfere with the extortion activities.

    Re: Parking Charge
I refer to your recent email. Thank you for supplying me with the requested information.
As you are probably aware, Lidl UK GmbH is a national retailer. As such, we have stores in locations with limited parking space and in common with many of our competitors, our store car parks are abused to a significant and detrimental extent. We have therefore judged it necessary to take measures so that our stores parking facilities are available first and foremost to our customers.
In order to ensure that sufficient parking spaces are available at all times to our customers, Lidl employs third party contractors to monitor and control our car parks. So far, this service has proved reliable and effective in reducing car park abuse and in freeing up spaces for our customers.
The signage is provided by the car park companies, therefore any queries regarding this should be directed to Athena. I am sorry that I am unable to provide you with a full response on this matter. It is our agreement that the car park companies deal with such matters.
Additionally, Lidl do not request any information from the DVLA. Should the car park companies require information they request this directly from the DVLA, this is not passed to Lidl at any point.
In light of your comments, on this one occasion, I have contacted Athena and have requested that this charge be cancelled. Please note, your comments regarding our parking restrictions have been noted and passed to the relevant department.
Thank you again for contacting us.
    Yours sincerely,
For and on behalf of Lidl UK GmbH
