Is hituf cable the same/similar to SWA/armoured?

ive been told that hi-tuf cable is for the same applications as SWA, is this true please? Am planning garden lighting (will all be LED lamps GU10's etc) and was wondering if hituf would be suitable for this application?

No. The two cables are not interchangeable. If you intend to bury the cable, use SWA and make sure it is properly terminated at each end (a gland fitting and earth to the outer steel wires).Her courage will change the world.

Hi Tuff isn't armoured so is not suitable for the same applications as an amoured cable, the question you need to answer is do you need an armoured cable for your application.0
