Good budget Emmie but I would have an additional category for emergency savings. Did you cost up whether it was worth continuing with the £15 bank fee or get whatever they offer separately?

I wish I was that organised :o all looking good :D

HI you are way more organised than me :o I am one of those people that spends ages doing a revision timetable, with highlighters and a laminator and then never gets round to the actual revision. The hard work is actually sticking to the budget which I have not got a good track record with.

ES I do have some emergency savings, I have £1800 which have never mentioned in case everyone said I should pay it off the debt :o £1800 is a months wages for me so thought this would be enough, what do you reckon?

I have not got anything for the vet but this may have to come out of the pet costs budget and we would have to make savings somewhere else if anything came up :( I will go in search of your diary now if we have some similarities. I am spending most of my spare time on here as I want to make sure I stay on the straight and narrow and do not get distracted by my big spender 'real life' friends.

Well today was my first day in a new department at work, I'm hoping it is a good career move, up to yet I think I'm going to like it, there is a lot of work to get done but they are very flexible about how it gets done and are happy for me to be flexible with my hours which is a winner :T

Today I have had to spend £5.20 at Mr T because we had ran out of mayo, teabags, dry cat food and ham, I went for all the budget items but it has still left us with only £37.80 to last the month  that is not going to happen :rotfl:

Tonight I cooked curry for dinner which will do us for tomorrow, DH has done lunch boxes for the children. Plan to do a full English for dinner tomorrow with some meat from the butchers pack.

I have had an idea for a money making, I am going to get a merlin pass with some tesco vouchers and sell it to my BIL, I'm not sure how much to charge him but either way it is some extra pennies.
I've still not heard about the extra £80 owed, I have sent a message tonight but heard nothing back yet, I hate chasing money :(

Right I am off to get ready for bed, my DH did not sleep well last night, so this meant I didn't sleep well, I have just taken DD to piano lessons and was falling asleep, every time she played loud chords I was jolting awake :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure I didn't tell you off :rotfl:, maybe more along the lines of encouragement but its been a while, so I'll deny all knowledge if you someone manage to quote from your old diary

And yes in the 7 years that have flown by, we sold 2 houses and bought the big house, which we will have been in for 5 years this August :D (and he is still alive)

So get chasing up that £80 that you are owed

And how can anyone run out of tea-bags, I get palpitations when we get down to about 200 left

Looking forward to cheering you on from the sidelines

Radish I'm pretty sure there was a moment with a dining table previously :rotfl: you definitely kept me good, I should have gone straight to the mfw board, maybe that would have kept me good :D

Well I chased the £80 and she has told me she has sent it to my bank but it is not showing up which is unusual as they normally ping straight in!! I'll leave it three days just in case her bank is being slow and then I'll have to ask again :( I am not organising anything ever again (until the next time :o)

Yesterday I had to go to aldi again :eek:spent another £5.60 on crisps, beans, milk, yoghurts and something else but I can't remember.
Today has been the first NSD of the week :j
I've chucked a chicken casserole in the slow cooker this morning and I am just off to throw some gravy in it because it's looking a bit anaemia and watery, I am not the best cook :o

Right it's time to get active, I've been a real lazy trout tonight.

I have two ideas to raise some cash to help pay off some debts.

    1. Ordering a merlin pass with my tesco vouchers and selling it to my BIL

    2. Going through the shoe cupboard and doing some selling. My daughters feet have grown about 3 sizes in the last 6 months so she has loads of shoes that no longer fit her and we have kept every pair of walking boots the children have ever owned. The only thing is walking boots are heavy so I don't want to put them on eBay, I might try a local selling page first.

I'm also going to do an inventory of all the food in the house to see how many meals I have and what food shopping we really NEED to do at the weekend.
I've just had an email from school to say that DD school meal account is overdrawn so I need to put some money in, the only problem is it will have to wait until morning as today is a NSD :A
