I saved all of the 1oz jam jars at our Women’s Institute Christmas Carols and afternoon tea outing in January. I asked members at our local WI to save any more little jars and got 2 carrier bags full! They have gone to my beekeeping friend, and with new lids, bought in bulk, they will be used for wedding favours, and honey samples, and for honey lip balms

I get lots of empty honey and jam jars from friends and in return I give some eggs from our hens. I get new jar lids through the beekeepers or WI. I make a lot of jam with fruit grown in our small garden. Re-use is better than recycle.
