We get through loads of DE coffee, probably a jar a week with DH working from home these days , I use them for all sorts of storage and ended up with 12 spare, put them on local facebook group and within 15 minutes they were reserved and someone else wanting if not collected. I've put loads in the recycling over the years but will offer them up from now on! Nice to make someone happy for free !Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/23

Aldi have some interesting shaped glass jars that I like to re-use but has anyone got a tip for removing their labels? They seem to use some sort of superglue that means the labels don't come off easily by soaking.3

I can confirm that the plastic lids from Pringles fit Gu jars which means they stack easily in the fridge with homemade dips and sweet treats ( portion control!). I also use them to hold homemade scented candles and the lids make them easy to wrap for gifts. I got the Gu jars from a friend and there are two types. The jars which have more "ridges" on the side are a better fit with Pringle lids.DE coffee jars are great storage jars for everything from food dried goods to reels of thread. I keep different colours in different jars, so, that when I want a red shade I don't have to go through a whole box. The lids of DE coffe jars can be used as Tealight holders when you have taken the plastic stopper off and the jar used for vases. Our local primary school did loads of these painted with glass paints and sold them at their Summer Fair one year. Mini jam pots for bead storage and small amounts of preserves to go in homemade hampers and as stocking fillers. The Aldi yogurt pots I use for my Homemade yogurt, portion control.Bonne Maman jars for generous portions of puds to go on picnics and overnight oats in the fridge. Lidl do a face cream in white opaque glass jars which I use for storage of small craft items. Lidl sometimes have large jars of Olives when they do a Greek Promotion and these are great refilled with homemade goodies to gift.3

The wide necked olive jars are very useful for storing half an onion. There's only two of us so I often half a recipe. I try to buy small onions but it's not always possible.4
