Private parking fine UKPC

Hello
I have had some hassle with ukpc parking charges and just wanted some opinions on a recent letter I received.

Basically, the parking is very limited where I work and staff usually park at the end of the road and in a lay by. The reasons for our parking charges are always different (one even says I am parked on a street that I was not parked on!) Some say parked on yellow lines when it's the opposite side of yellow lines. Obstructing a road etc when parked in the lay by that is not the road.

Anyway, I received a number of parking charges but have not received one for over a year and I have still parked in the same spot. New staff receive tickets for a certain length of time and then they give up, having realised they will not pay it.

It was only the other day I went to get my car and there was around 6 cars parked up. I was parked up well before a new car and the new car was the only car with a ticket on. I did get video evidence of this because how can a company like ukpc be taken seriously when they pick and choose who they give them to?

So back to the letters I received recently. I had a letter a few weeks ago demanding £1,040 within 2 weeks. This letter includes a selected amount of tickets and from my most recent car. No tickets from my previous car are on this list.

Then I received a letter claiming it is from the courts. There is absolutely no court date or time or anything similar to that. The letter tells me to register with a website to pay.

Can somebody please advise me on what to do here?

Thank you in advance.

is it an MCOL from Northampton Bulk Centre ?
    (google it etc to check)

if it is an MCOL (which it probably is) then they have issued a court case using MCOL and you need to read and follow post #2 of the NEWBIES sticky thread

they had 6 years to issue a court case or cases , so they definitely have NOT "given up"

Can you host a copy of the letters (suitably redacted) on TinyPic or photobucket. Copy the URL and paste here, but change the http to hxxp as newbies don't have linking privileges initially. A regular will do the conversion back to a live link.

As above, we need to know what you have received. Without more information we cannot tell if it is a debt collector letter, a MCOL/LBC/LBCC/LBA, or another begging letter from the scammers.

The advice you get will depend on your answer.

The advice to ignore private parking tickets however has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.

    Yes it is from Northampton.
I didn't mean they had given up, I mean they no longer issue the packet tickets to people who have never paid one.

I'm still not sure whether this is an initial court claim or a judgment in default.

@OP - you're not really helping us to help you, so please get those photos/scans hosted and linked here (as per my post #3 above).

If this is a judgment in default you do need urgent advice before it trashes your credit worthiness rating.
