Only one person knows what that is. And they've followed it up with a further insult.

    You're probably right;).
    I read Downtime's first post as a sarcastic pi55take, I couldn't imagine it was anything else :D

I'd be astonished if there aren't a considerable number of restaurants still open when you arrive, this is Spain after all, where eating before 10 pm is something done only by tourists!

It really depends on their location. San Antonio Town and they'll likely be fine. Other places may close at midnight.
By the time they get to the apartment, it could be 1.30am.
A light picnic on their balcony seems much more cosy than going to bed hungry or buying something cheap and nasty to prevent oneself from going to bed hungry.

I have friends with resorts in Sant Antoni de Portmany and Santa Eulària des Riu.

Doubt if the OP is staying with them, as they don't do all inclusive(unless that means events and pool parties). :D

No, I'm not running a guest list, so no PMs. :p

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

    What's a snowflake?

A word for right-wingers to fling at anyone who could be accused of being too easily offended or too fragile. Started off as a political insult about a younger generation then broadened out.
Basically just a lazy way of trying to insult someone.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    special snowflake syndrome
    1. (derogatory) The conviction that one (or often, one's child) is, in some way, special and should therefore be treated differently from others.
So the poster was implying that, unlike most people, the boys wouldn't cope through the night without being fed. Obviously this was before she realised that you can take food with you on planes.

I'm always hungry after a flight, regardless of what I eat on board.
You sound like my OH. :) He can't sleep if he's hungry. We've done quite a few flights where one, or both of us, come to the airport straight from work and with just enough time to go through security. If it's him, I usually get there earlier and check any bags in before meeting him. We also tend to fly scheduled rather than low cost airlines simply because the low costs don't serve the route we fly most often, so there isn't the option to buy more food onboard.

Our next flight is in a few weeks time and OH will be coming straight from work again. We'll be landing at 22:55 and transfering straight to a hotel, so will get to our room sometime after midnight if we're lucky. By that time, he won't have eaten for almost 12hrs, besides the small onboard portions, and I'll have a proper grumpy !!!!!! on my hands. For the sake of a quiet life, I make it my job to do the research and know exactly where there's a taverna open til 1 or 2am close to our hotel, where he can stuff his face with gyros and I can get quietly slaughtered on cheap wine ;)
