They want me to send them a blank cheque to prove I own my nominated account!

    I don't think so.

    Re DragonQ post #145....

Same here (for the non-ISA RS) but they must have thousands of identity documents to process so I'm just prepared to wait. Strange thing is, I got opening their Flex Saver and ISA RS without being asked for any proof of identity, although my Nat. Insurance number was probably enough for the ISA RS.

I had this problem with Scottish Widows, I didn't have anything but a letter from Tesco confirming my bank account was opened and they accepted that as proof. So probably anything with your account number etc on will work.

    No way.....
Never been asked to prove ownership of a nominated account before.

They would also accept a recent statement.

At the risk of facing criticism for my interpretation of 'blank' ;) Would it be possible to write the word 'Cancelled' clearly and in big letters across the face of the cheque and still comply with Ford's use of the term 'blank'? :)

God you're desperate for that compensation (you mentioned a couple of posts ago) aren't you?

Companies must just love customers like you. I.e. ones who've openly admitted on forums they never read T&Cs of products and then who subsequently stamp their feet looking for redress.

Fingers crossed Ford can identify you from the number of products you've stated you've opened and offer you nothing if they are monitoring this thread.:)

Thanks for the reminder. But I do not even believe a second that a company is going to invest time to investigate something with very insignificant potential value with very little information they could get to make a good judgement. But I do know each reputable business care a lot about bad publications.

Also, I did not remember I ever said I did not read the T&C this time, did I ?? ;) Keep in mind asking question does not imply you do not read the available information you have.

FYI, I have a very good success rate in getting compensation. Thanks to MSE members, to Martin who supply me with the info / platfrom so I could make a good claim. Is it not the main spirit of this forum to play with banks at their own game, winning compensation, get a good deal, save money ??

Or a deposit slip. That's generally what's requested
