The maturity date on the Ford Money ISA was shown as 22nd May 2018.

Re my Santander Reg Savers, the last 5% one matured last week and I received the full year's interest I'd expected to get and they never queried my putting deposits in on 1st of month. I have now taken out a new 5% one with initial deposit of £200 and my intention is to transfer in another £200 on 1st June. It's never been a problem with Santander.

It updates after a few days to the anniversary of the initial deposit.

As for Santander, their terms clearly state it's an anniversary month but their systems obviously allow payments on a calendar month basis.

FYI (from the T&Cs of the Santander Regular eSaver)

You can make any number of payments via standing order and you don’t have to make a deposit every month. The amount can vary each month, provided the monthly limit isn’t exceeded.

Your month is calculated by the date that you open your Regular eSaver, e.g. you open the Regular eSaver on the 16th of a month, your month will run from 16th of one month to the 15th of the next month.

BTW, for anyone interested, Ford are now keeping a list of everyone wrongly advised regarding the Regular Saver and Regular ISA on a spreadsheet.

Interesting, so are they generating the list from call logs, or from people who phone up subsequently to complain? There must be quite a few people who phoned in originally and didn't give their name etc.

I think it's from people who complain. I said I opened 3 regular ISAs based on wrong info given to me from three different advisors.

She asked for my details so she can add it to her spreadsheet and that someone will contact me by phone in a few days. She also said a decision on what to do with these accounts is still up in the air.

What were you complaining about? They haven't decided to do anything yet.

I said I saw a message on their facebook page that said only one a/c allowed per person.

She said did I open my accounts based on info from elsewhere. I said based on info from their advisors and gave her the names of two advisors.

I think we can guess where this is going - if people called up and got advised directly they'll be allowed to keep them, if not they will get closed. Let's see what happens.
