I have just received a speeding ticket for doing 73 when they say the speed limit was set at 60 between junction 14 and 15 just looked at their pictures I wasn't in the outside lane and the road was quite empty so why reduce the speed0

Irrelevant why. The question is solely whether it was or not.Scottydog99 wrote: »I have just received a speeding ticket for doing 73 when they say the speed limit was set at 60 between junction 14 and 15 just looked at their pictures I wasn't in the outside lane and the road was quite empty so why reduce the speed
It's also irrelevant which lane you were in.0 -
That is some strange logic you're using there. Do you propose to challenge it on the grounds that you disagree with the limit imposed at the time? You have no idea what might have been happening/have happened on that stretch to cause the reduced limit.Scottydog99 wrote: »I have just received a speeding ticket for doing 73 when they say the speed limit was set at 60 between junction 14 and 15 just looked at their pictures I wasn't in the outside lane and the road was quite empty so why reduce the speed0 -

Something may have happened up ahead (accident/load spillage/workmen in road) which meant they reduced the limit to protect people?0 -
