Would it be reasonably expected for conveyancers to pick this up

Around half a year ago our address was renamed by the council. It appears that this renaming saga was going on for a few years.
We have bought our huse years and a half ago.
It has now all been just pain in the backside since that address renaming. Starting from the comparison websites not recignising the new address for a while and therefroe me having to pay more for thye insurance online, the new street name signs being vandalised by the locals(probably because of an anger because of a forcible address renaming), I have to come out almost everytime when any tradesperson is due as TomTom navigator still don't recognise my new address, it has also affected my credit history as the credit reference agencies get confused about my addresses.
My question is, bearing in mind the infor regarding the ongoing cour case regarding the street and houses on it renaming was available online, would've it been reasonable for the conveyancing solicitors to pick this up during their checks?

No, it would be a rather peculiar thing for conveyancers to check for.0

Why would they be concerned with a potential remaining of a street?
Equally as you were buying in the locality. You could have researched the news online if it's was as you say public knowledge.0 -
My house suffered a re-address at the behest of the local council back in 2012, when they suddenly discovered there were two houses with the same address; a situation that had pertained for 24 years.
Apart from having to retrieve the odd Amazon parcel from our neighbour's wood shed, 150m distant, the double addressing caused no great issues, as the postman knows everyone. It was just something the council wanted to do, without consultation.
For a while, we were missing from the auto-address look-ups, but I can't recall any other problem arising. Tradespersons and delivery drivers still failed to locate us, the same as before, because people slavishly follow sat-navs, even when told not to. In the country, a postcode can cover places a kilometre apart.
Mid Devon Council themselves have carried on using the old address, despite being the prime movers for the change. I phoned up a few months ago and asked for the second time for their database to be updated, but as that's probably a cantankerous old lady sitting in a back office in Tiverton, I'm not holding my breath....
As above, why would an ongoing court case pop up in the searches? They don't cover that sort of thing.0
