Well played, sir0

Excuse me? zx81 made a joke (which you clearly didn't get, fair enough)
But I was applauding him on it. Sorry I did not realise this forum was so formal.
No need to jump to the sort of conclusion you did. I am grateful for any help I receive in this thread.0 -
That company would be WWE. And you can only pay online.
Out of curiosity, can you provide a link of what exactly a WWE holiday entails?
So is this a joint holiday with various other people going too?
If yes, then isn't one person going to pay the entire cost and then sort out individual repayments amongst yourselves?I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I am unable to post a link due to being a new user. If you google Wrestlemania Travel 2017 it will bring up last years. It's basically a wrestlemania package with accomodation included
There is 4 of us, one person will pay, I can't use my credit card as my limit is not sufficient to cover all 4 people, so I am looking for the best option for getting the funds from my credit card to the person who will make the payment. Thanks.0 -
Ah ok gotcha.
So if one person is making the payment and you are all from the UK, why is the payment required to be paid back in US dollars?
Surely it's easy enough to convert the $1,000 owed into pounds and then just pay that?
If that would be the case then the only way you could do it via credit card is with a 0% money transfer card - withdraw the funds to your bank account and then pay your friend via cash or bank transfer.
If your friend insists on being repaid in US dollars, you could still use the above method but then you'd have to add on the extra cost of exchanging the cash from pounds into dollars and then giving them the cash.

Thank you, yeah seems like I confused the issue when I mentioned dollars. I can pay my friend in pounds I just mentioned the $1000 to give a general idea of the sort of sums I was looking at.
Looks like a money transfer card is going to be the one, credits not great just hope I get accepted for one thanks again.0 -
This is nonsense, my friends went to Wrestlemania 32 and paid for it all on a UK credit card.
This company offering it sounds a bit dodgy if you ask me.
WWE is a massive company a massive one at that, if the package is directly with them I would imagine you can pay in any currency."All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them."

Nobody is saying you can't use a UK credit card to pay for it. The payment will still be billed in UK Pounds, it will get converted and charged for the currency exchange at the credit card provider's end which would be charged to the cardholder (assuming that OP's friend who is paying for it all is not using a specialist travel credit card such as Clarity or Creation and just a bog standard one) and that payment gets converted into US Dollars to be paid to the company because that is the currency they requested payment in.
I have gone onto the WWE travel package from 2017 and see no reason why it's dodgy at all, as with most American sites you would be paying in dollars so see no difference here.
Also OP, here is the link for the eligibility checker to see what your chances are for a money transfer card:

If you don't have a good credit history, what is the name of the credit card provider you were going to use?I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards.
