Exact same thing happened to a relative of mine. They just said very politely but firmly that they would not be paying any more for the cooker and that they expected it to be there on completion day. It was.
Half the time when people expect to be paid for stuff like this, they have zero intention of going to bother of disconnecting and moving the thing in the first place, they just want a bit of free cash for no effort.0 -

One word - induction. Makes the pain in the neck range feel like a nightmare from your past. Think 5 seconds to clean, super fast boiling (much faster than any range), highly controllable and no rattly or removable parts.0 -
Really common thing to happen - people change their mind about what they're taking. As others have said, what happens next is you negotiate.
Phone the EA and say - "My offer was based on the range cooker being included as I was told it was included. As it now isn't, I'm changing my offer to £x".
Then wait and see what the vendor says.
They'll either accept the revised offer, counter, say no, or let you have the cooker after all.
What you need to be thinking is whether the cooker is worth walking away from the deal over if they play hardball.
With our current house, when we got to PIF stage the vendor had decided to take most of the curtains - which were good quality made to measures (expensive - we have a lot of windows). They wouldn't budge on price, or leaving them. It was annoying but we went ahead anyway as it wasn't worth losing the house over.0 -

No, I know it's harder to clean, but gas every time for me!Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I don't think you can argue that a new one will cost xxx. You were obviously happy to have a secondhand cooker included in the sale, so I think the most sensible thing to do is to find the cost of the same model secondhand and reduce your offer by that amount.0
