Welll got a email today from the credit club here on mse, so i just go to check quickly and noticed a missed payment apparently for electric from NPOWER. Not sure what to do as it gets paid by direct debit and they still haven't took it i was on there live chat a few days ago and they said it would get took on or around the 30th of this month. Really worried this is going to affect my future as was looking to apply for a mortgage in the coming months, Cant contact NPOWER as they are not open today.

Not sure how i miss payments when its there job to collect the direct debit lol :(

I'm sorry sweetie, but there's not a lot we can do - you will need to ring npower tomorrow morning for a definite answer.

If npower do take the full £397.27 on 30 May, as they have indicated, be sure that you have enough money in your current account to cover it - a failed direct debit could affect your mortgage application.

Thanks, there is always way more than enough in the account to cover it and always has been. They haven't even attempted to take the money im guessing this is some sort of mistake i will be ringing them first thing tomorrow to see what has happened. Thanks for reply will update tomorrow :)

If you do get this resolved, which I'm sure you will, then they can correct your credit report so this doesn't show. It won't show for another month when the new report is run but it can be done

I am a bit confused here.
From what I can make out it looks as if you had a bill for £227 back in Feb which you failed to pay then on 3rd May you got a new bill for £397.27 which includes the unpaid £227 in the total.
    Is that correct?
When did you set up the direct debit? Was such a direct debit set up to pay the Feb bill or did you set it up subsequently?
If the direct debit was set up for the Feb bill, why did you not question anything at the time when the direct debit was never taken?
If the direct debit was set up subsequently why did you not pay the Feb bill?
You may well have been told (guessing here) if you did set up the direct debit subsequently that the entire balance would be taken on 30th May, as it probably will be, but unfortunately that does not, in itself, excuse the late payment and in such a case the late payment marker is probably correct.
If everything else about your credit accounts is ok I wouldn't worry too much about a single isolated late payment.

I pay by direct debit which you can clearly see in the picture it says it takes it automatically? I wouldn't make a payment by card or anything as i have a natwest reward account and get % back for direct debits. Didn't question as i thought it might be like some credit cards where you do not pay the first month.

Honestly i think you have no clue lol, i'm pretty sure they would ring me or send me a letter before marking my credit file with a missed payment although i haven't missed anything. Also not my problem if they dont take the payment when it should be automatic. Also direct debit was set up when i moved to npower. so therefore i have not missed a payment or been late as its not my responsibility to make payment its there responsiblity to take the direct debit.

Your reply has really confused me as i don't think you understand atall.

just reading over your reply again how can i fail to pay a bill, I dont press the buttons at NPOWER to take direct debits lol out of my hands.

That report was produced in April. So the bill could be from march . Did the payment for march go through. Have you checked your bill online

I think I understand very well.
Your credit report clearly shows that this amount has been outstanding for 3 months. The next update will show the new balance from your May bill. You have clearly not made any payment for 3 months and have not bothered to question the fact that the direct debit was not taken for 3 months. That is self evident.
