Mortgage when relocating with new job?

I currently rent and am looking at moving to a new area. In that area, I will buy a property (cannot afford one near here).
Currently on a fixed term contract ending in two months time. New job will likely be on a fixed term for two years. New job pays about £6,000 per year more.
Is the mortgage based on current salary or new salary? Would signing a new contract be good enough to prove my employment will continue beyond the two months left on my current job?

Some mortgage companies want 3 months payslips and won't lend to.to you whilst in a probationary period.
Some only want 1 months payslip.
We went with tesco as they don't mind probationary and also just need a copy of contract and written confirmation from.new employer of salary etc0 -
This will very from lender to lender and will be worse if changing employers than a new fixed term contract with the same employer.
Appoint an independent broker to find the right lender and deal for you.
A new fixed term contract and a probationary period are two very different animals in the mortgage world.I am a mortgage broker.
