Some one using my address for bank accounts

Not sure if it's already been said on here but you might get a better response if you went in to a branch of the bank and spoke to them there0

I'm not sure what the OPs issue is?
I got my post redirected for two years to catch anything. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I suspect the OP doesn't have an issue as they haven't been back to comment:cool:0

Happens so often, perhaps they all forget their login details?
I read the original post as "someone (possibly known to me) is using my address to pretend to their bank that they live here and I don't want them to be able to do that anymore, how can I stop them?"
If, as it appears, the banks do a residence check when you apply for an account and then never check again it is an issue for all of us as it potentially allows fraudsters an easy ride. I think at the very least banks should investigate when items of mail get returned to them... but some other posters on here seem to disagree "In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
I've been in a branch (Santander) and the !!!!less gimp they had serving customers couldn't even grasp that by sending me their customer's mail they were inviting a fraud risk. He literally didn't know what to do.
I have since found out (unofficially, from another bank employee) by writing 'Person has died' on the envelope and returning it places a block on the account and the post should cease. It creates a problem for the (still living) customer, but I figure if they're too lazy to deal with an important address change at their own bank that's their problem.0
