County Court Business Centre Claim Form

A judgement has been made against me so it's saying I can't acknowledge it
Only option I have is admit or apply to set aside?
Obviously don't want to admit so should I set aside
When did you get the paperwork? There seems to be big chunks of the story missing.
Can we have a timeline of what's happened?0 -
Parking ticket middle 2016 with option to pay early or price goes up.
Another letter followed threatening action
Subsequent letters threatening ballifs
Quiet since October until this week when I get this letter with the claim form in it
I understand I took poor advice and ignored all of the letters but need to know if I can now fight this in some way?0 -
If the claim form only came this week you should be able to acknowledge it. You might need to ring the court on Monday.0

Why did you say judgment has been made against you? What does the letter say?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Appears you ignored a court paper called the N1 Claim form.
You have 1 month from the date of the judgement to pay or it goes on your credit record. Or you pay £255 to have it set aside at a court hearing.

In addition to the information on set asides in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2, have a read of the following so you can fully understand your options and decide how you might want to proceed.

But ignoring court papers won't necessarily encourage a judge to proceed with a set aside. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
