Sarah1972 has flagged up Open Farm Sunday on the Freebies board.
If you haven't taken the kids to one before it really can be a fun, cheap, possibly free day out.
If you have been to one it would be great if you could post on there to tell people what you thought.

I went to one in Cambridgeshire a few years ago. Very informative and children got to see where food really comes from.0

Not sure if it's part of this event, but Newlyns Farm in Hampshire has an open day on June 10th/11th. We went last year and it was great fun.0

We went to a farm in the next town a couple of years ago. There wasn't much on, but the birds of prey were beautiful. It was worth going just to see them. This year, a more local farm has advertised as opening that day, soi I think we might visit there.0
