B. Why you think they should recieve the award (no more than one paragraph please!).

This might not be strictly Ok but this lady deserves a medal for her kindness.
She won a competition and saw my post about wanting to win it and despite
never having had any contact with me prior to that PM'd me and offered me the tickets. It was the highlight of my month, year as I had wanted to go since I was a child and followed it with my dad. If she is not eligible I understand but just wanted to put such generosity and kindness up for it.
Thanks Sarer
This is the post for the comp0 -
My nomination for post of the month award for October goes to poster Hungerdunger
Here is the link to the thread, which was about SAGA's 7.14% AER Fixed Interest for a 1yr Savings Account and his post, which is #17:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=6478474&posted=1
One of the biggest difficulties we all have, when transferring our funds to try to capture a better rate of interest elsewhere, is the loss of interest we suffer whan we put the funds in a current account. This SAGA offer has attracted massive interest. So much so, that there is a massive backlog in dealing with all of the applications. All of this would result in large amounts of funds being left not earning interest in the applicants' current accounts.
Hungerdunger tells us what he does to try to overcome this problem and tells, how for him, it has also worked successfully on previous occasions.0 -
Having never done this before, forgive me if I mess it up!
My nomination for the OCTOBER post of the month is Mum of Twins, her courage on the thread Eviction Notice Served.
It is humbling to read this ladies courage when it seems like the entire world of bureaucracy is against her. Anne Robinson ( or somebody similar ) needs to get on this ladies case.Today, my BEST is good enough.0 -
Can I nominate Butterflymum for her post about Strep B in pregnancy and labour.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=572492
Strep B lacks awareness and understanding, and may times even if a woman has been tested, and has Strep B present, she still is not given proper care during labour which is putting babies lives at risk.0 -
I would like to nominate the old style weight loss thread. Its helping me loads:jFat and proud lol0
