Applying with Nationwide - bank statements

I bank with nationwide and my mortgage broker asked me for my latest bank statement and 3 wage slips. I did read that sometimes a broker will ask for information even if the lender isn't actually requesting it. Maybe just as a precaution if it is requested by the lender or to keep on their files.
Either way, my broker has been great so I trust what she asks of me.0 -
A broker is pretty much always required to obtain;-
three months current account statements
evidence of deposit (perhaps building up over a few months)
gifted deposit form/letter
latest three months payslips
latest P60
latest mortgage statement.
These may or may not be required by the lender at any point in the future, even if not requested at the outset.
In our last LBG audit, we were asked for complete files on five cases which were upto two years old.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks again for the replies everyone!
I feel slightly more worried now as they essentially have free rein over all my bank statements as I'm a current account customer!
Primarily I am worried about recent holiday cash payments to the Revolut app for travel money. I under-estimated how much cash I'd spend so ended up topping up the app several times over 4 days. Looks slightly random and uncontrolled to anyone externally looking in!
However, if I apply on 1st July or 1st August I guess enough time will have passed for them to see my most recent months of 'clean' statements with minimal monthly spending. My direct debits total under £50 a month (gym & mobile) and then £150 on food, and £50 on monthly bus card.
You are allowed to travel and have higher spending periods. They are looking for accounts to stay within limits, no returned payments, and no payments in or out that do not tally with the rest of the data submitted.I am a Mortgage Broker
