Travelup Flights

My cousin and I are flying to Thailand with Qatar airways in October. I booked the fights through Travelup.
Everything went well and I received the e-ticket from Travelup quickly after booking. I’ve checked the flights through Qatar airways and my cousin and I are booked on all flights including the return leg. I also reserved the seats.
I did receive notification from Travelup a few weeks ago that my outward connecting flight at Doha had been delayed by 40 minutes but I wasn’t too bothered about that.
I’ve since read some poor reviews about Travelup and how they have cancelled flights and left people in the lurch so I’m concerned about my flights in October.
I would have thought as my flights have been checked with Qatar I should be safe as Qatar have obviously been paid by Travelup.
Am I right to be concerned or just being paranoid?

Check your booking through the Qatar airways website to see if you have ticket numbers for each of you, if you have this often means your itinerary has been ticketed, if not call Qatar airways and ask why not.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

A lot of online travel agents have a bad name on this forum and review sites, and deservedly so.
However, problems generally arise if flights haven't been ticketed, or the customer needs to make changes, or the airline changes the schedule etc. This is where their poor customer service can become problematic. (People not being advised of changes, big charges etc...)
If a flight has been ticketed and there are no major changes you'll generally be fine. As Richard says ensure there are actual ticket numbers on the reservation. Check the reservation regularly to make sure it hasn't changed and you shouldn't go to far wrong.
You've already had a change notification so hopefully their communication seems to be ok.0 -
Hi thanks for your replies.
I entered Travelups e-ticket number into Qatar airways website and I now have a Qatar airways e-ticket. On that it has a booking reference number and a ticket number. Presumably everything is above board and I can relax now?0 -
If your booking is ticketed you are unlikely to have any problems.0
