Not sure how long the makers warranty is, but if you buy from John lewis, you get 2 years and their price match.

Or if your credit card/bank account has the warranty protection, it will give you a years longer, than the makers anyway.

And I've had both, so no problems,

Beware the brands offering a lonnnng PARTS warranty, as this means the £5 spring mentioned earlier post, would probably be over £100 if you used the brands own agent, as you still have their call out charge.

  • Thank you all so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it - great response.
I went for the Indesit in the end, simply coz I could get that delivered in a week from Argos but Curries couldn't supply the Beko for several weeks.
It's reassuring to know that people have had good experiences with both brands.
    Thanks again.
    Best wishes

  • We have had very good experiences with Beko appliances: for example a much abused washing machine is still going after 7 years, only cost £120.

No knowledge of indesit, however you had a lucky escape with your supplier as we will never order from Curry's again.

When I bought my last place I found the previous occupants had installed a Beko washing machine. As I didn't move straight in I kept and used it for a couple of months before getting a Miele.

It!!!8217;s strange how people only talk about cost and reliability. I found the Beko to be loud, slow, lacking in programmes and features.

I can programme my Miele to finish a wash at 05:30 in the morning knowing that it!!!8217;s quiet enough not to wake the neighbours. I can do an A+++ wash in under 1 hour (the Beko offered 20 minutes or 3+ hours) The max spin speed of 1600 vs 1200 means far less time in the drier. I can pre-load detergent and conditioner into the Miele not so the Beko. The Miele does my extra fine merino wool just fine.... the Beko =8O

Yup, the Miele cost £1600 but all in all a great buy.
