Indesit or beko washing machine?

Options
Hi,
I'm about to buy a new washing machine and necessarily this has to be the cheapest possible. (Can't afford anything better at the mo.)
So, I've narrowed it down and it's a choice between a Beko or an Indesit.
I can't decide.
I don't expect miracles but the more reliable the better.
Is it six & two threes? Or is one brand generally more reliable than the other? I'm slightly cautious about Indesit coz tinternet mentioned they are unreliable but I think that was only one post.
Any thoughts folks?
Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Best wishes
Wayne

Could you not get one from gum tree or a charity shop? The British Heart foundation sell checked electrical items. I would never have any of those brands in my house.

I've an indesit washer that's 6 years old, used in a family of four, never missed a beat.

I have a 7 year old Beko dishwasher used daily - no problems, apart from a door spring went - £5 I think to replace - contrary to the above, I'd be happy with either based on my own experience!

Neither brand has a good reputation, but my personal experience is that I've had nothing but Indesit washing machines, washer dryers and dishwashers in four houses (two rented and two owned) over the course of nine years. They weren't my choice - they were there when we moved in - but none of them has ever missed a beat or needed a repair.

I haven't had anything from Beko except a fridge freezer. It's three years old now and works well. We needed one that would work in an unheated outbuilding, and all other brands stated their warranties were void if kept in freezing conditions. The Beko was good down to -15°C.

So what is your actual budget? Indesit/Hotpoint/Whirlpool: all the same company, competing at the budget end of the market. Buy cheap and you may find it lasts no more than a couple of years (some budget machines are designed for as little as 500 cycles: after that the drum bearing start to fail, and they are not replaceable). The cheapest machines are as little as £150 now, but are built to a very low spec. This isn't money saving.
Look around for a graded or ex display example of a decent model (budget Bosch?), this may have minor cosmetic imperfections, but that does not matter.

I was skeptical, but after moving to our new place, we purchased a Beki washer and a drier. I was originally going to fork out for a Miele (about a grand), but at five times the price, it seemed unlikely to last five times as long.

So far, so good - but it's been less than a year.

We have a Hotpoint washer-dryer. I love the features, when it does what it's supposed to do, which it doesn't always. When it breaks completely, I will replace it with a different brand I think.

We had a Beko dishwasher which was great - no problems. When I did ring customer services with a 'problem' i.e. user error, they were lovely to deal with. I'd have gone with Beko again if we didn't want an integrated one.

    +1 for Beko.
Although British Heart Foundation & the big stores may be able to do you a deal on bigger names, at which point scout for Miele (who appear to build to work for a decade).

Indesit for me - had three washers and three dishwashers, neither anything wrong in the years I had them, I left them in each house when I sold it.
A few weeks ago I was looking a fridge freezer and the cheapest Indesit was out of my price range so I opted for a Candy...that was faulty and now replaced with an Indesit which is working perfectly!

Go with what you fancy, you'll get good & bad reports for both. Most washing machines will last for years with no problems, even the cheap ones.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
