You need to cover it up while out driving as well. Once they know where you live then if they see the car going along the road then they know that you are not at home and can possibly burgle your house in peace.

You may but need a tin foil hat as well

No need for that....the drive will be empty...but the question is - dump, dump, dummmmm... am I at home - just to fool the neighbours I park out of sight around the corner.

It shouldn't f***ing be there - its not part of the sale or their property, if I wanted my car and reg all over the internet I'd post it on faceache :D

I feel really sorry for your new neighbours.

Why would this bother anyone ? People looking on right move etc will be looking at the house and interior. I can't imagine anyone paying attention to your car. And your registration is visible in your drive, when you drive around etc so what issue would there be with someone seeing it.

    First world problems !

    Car identity theft potential.

I'm missing something too - risk of what, exactly? Seriously, what is the risk? I don't get it?
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

    What does that even mean?

Cars being stolen to order is a big crime problem at the moment. They also use a different number plate from a similar vehicle to avoid being tracked down . OP could find out he suddenly gets speeding tickets, parking enforcement notices etc etc.

Of course this can happen anyway as your vehicle is visible to passers by but there are a lot more eyes on the internet and I certainly wouldn't want my registration displayed when there is no need.

Walk in my shoes for a week or two - the day they leave flags will be out on my property, next on the other side, across the road....well lets just say 50% of the street.

If you're looking for a number of a similar car, why on earth would you be looking at property adverts? Surely wandering around a car park would be a better bet?

I would have thought autotrader would be the better option.

Can you clearly explain exactly what the problem is with your car reg being in a photo?
    Quite:

Stone me, these days with G**gle, F*c*b**k etc etc etc & HMRC, GCHQ, etc etc knowing so much about you, where you go, what you get up to, who you get up to it with (yes, even/especially that thing..) your bleedin' vehicle index plate is the least of your problems: And the number ain't even "yours", it's the state's.
