Bank closures have happened across the city- even London has lost a number of bank branches in recent years.

I like to use the ATM inside my bank so I go fairly often. I only go to the counter if something unusual happens like the ATM wont cough up any dosh.
Although I very rarely use the counter services I would not like to lose my local branch.0 -
I had a cheque from a house sale ( I'm too cheap for BACS ) so had to go into the strange building attached to the cash-machine.
I didn't like it, it was way too peopley.0 -
One of us goes, at least once a month, to deposit Premium Bond cheques and ones sent by survey companies or manufacturers ( complaints/special promotions).
We also prefer to open new accounts with a real person, instead of over the internet.0 -
Yesterday, to open another Virgin regular saver account

I normally only go into a branch to pay in cash/cheques or to open accounts. Occasionally to close them if the bank refuses to allow that to be done online."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Hate branches, having to queue, rude cashiers, wasting time doing things i can do online or by post. They can close them all for me.0

Why does the question in post #1 and the thread title bear no resemblance to the question in the poll?
OP, do you struggle with English, perhaps it is not your first language? The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Last popped in to see counter staff in 2005. I work for a bank.0

Twice a month to pay off the credit cards, and an occasional trip to get cash.0

I don't do online banking, so... I probably go once every couple of months.0

I only visit them when they have a charity event on because I can be assured of free cakes and biscuits.0
