There's been about 8 car boots in my area this weekend and I haven't been able to go to one of them thanks to dh's parents hijacking him to cut down some trees
They even borrowed my ex as well so I had to have my son at home too
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

A spong mincer for £1.50
A big baking bowl (I call them Bero bowls) for £4

why dont you put your location on your profile or on here then anyone living near you could advise you ..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,

A lovely book on making paper flowers for 50p
4 very large planters for £5 - Will try to grow some carrots in one, herbs in another and maybe some salad in another.
A potted mint that I will put into one of the other planters for 40pOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

The village that I live in has giant car boot sales in the summer. Their next one is on Bank Holiday Monday, so I will try to get up early enough to get some bargains (clutter).
So, if you live near Newmarket/Ely next weekend, it's the place to be!
And they always advertise round here in the small ads in the free paper. Quite good as it stretches as far as Cambridge where there are some giant ones year round.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Whenever, I go to bootsales all I see is tat that I wouldn't give houseroom - I mean broken, chipped filthy manky stuff. I'm green with envy when I read about people buying breadmakers etc for £2. I saw a steamer for veg at one - it was absolutely filthy with dust and grease - I would have been ashamed to admit it was mine let alone try to sell it. I asked the woman how much? just to see what she would say and she said £12!!! £12!!!!!! - I wouldn't have given 12p - plis you can buy them in ASDA for about £8 brand new with a guarantee.
On a happier note - I did buy a blanket box from second hand/junk shop - in oak for £5 with free delivery thrown in. It's solid with legs - needs stripping but will be fab.0 -
I bought a tape and 5 books! And I won a bottle of wine, and 11p.
But I did manage to stop my daddy buying a foot spa (we already have one and no one uses it!) and all of the other random junk he wants.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
