If so where did you find the best rates to exchange your money? Airport or hotel?
I've read on some websites the airport is the best but after reading a slightly old thread on here yesterday which said the airport rate compared to the hotel was shocking I thought I'd ask for some more opinions please...pretty please.

ATMs everywhere (airport and town), so just bring the appropriate plastic. Easy to exchange case for a good rate in town, or a very bad rate at airport or resort: your choice.0

I appreciate you taking time to reply.
Like I said what I've read (including on here) is conflicting so hence there reason I ask if anyone has been recently...which I take it you have if you've replied? The 'your choice' bit at the end comes across as a little rude even if it was intended that way.0 -
In general, don't believe any recommendation to exchange cash in airports or hotels - they are the worst choices.Evolution, not revolution0

We travel to Marrakech regularly and have always found that the Hotel Ali's Exchange bureau offers the best rate. You can change £ directly into Dirham there.
The bureau is located just on the south west edge of Djemaa el Fna at Rue Moulay Ismail, just opposite the gardens where the caleche (horses drawn carriages) line up. You can't miss it as there are always long queues outside their change office.
The advice from eDicky about changing money at your hotel reception is right in general, but Hotel Ali is an exception as it's bureau d'exchange is highly competitive and one of the most frequently recommended in the city.
Hope that's a help0 -
