i think that 160kbps is ok quality? i'm a bit of a mug when it comes to that sort of thing.

thats right, at 160kbps the quality is fine, thats mp3 quality. just listening to it now.

Totally agree. You can be as cynical as you like, but this is a real landmark moment for the age of digital content. Don't know how we'll ever really know for sure just what ended up in the 'honesty box', but I for one will think of my £3 not so much as a payment for Radiohead but as a vote for the new system and a sign to other bands that yes, this is the way forward.

Every penny of 0p is not a lot.

I don't expect people to pay full CD price, although I know some will, but a few quid has got to be fair for the work these guys have put in, and as a statement to the RIAA et all.

160kbps is lower than I was expecting, but as long as a good encoder has been used (like LAME or Fraunhofer) then it should be perfectly adequate, especially for use on a DAP. Edit: Mr QuestionMan says the files are LAME 3.93, which should be fine.

Im listening to it now. I think its fair to say its a bit strange, sounds like magic numbers-hippy like style they have. I love it though, its a great album

Sorry to be dim, but how can I get it into my iTunes library? - I'm new to all this digital music malarkey!

I did at least manage to un-zip it and am listening on Windows Media Player!
