Japanese currency exchange

Hi,
Off to Japan in a few days time. Is it best to use my Halifax Clarity card once there to withdraw cash, or should I use one of the recommended currency exchange services here in London before I go?
The rate is I change here is around 145 yen to 1 GBP. I have no idea what the Halifax CC exchange rate would be (but it is the MSE recommended card as no fees apply). Of course, then there is the risk of carrying cash!
