Hi, my father's blue badge is up or renewal this month can anyone tell me if he will get a letter or form through the door to fill in his details or do you have to go to the post office to get a form or will it be easier to do it online thanks.

i got a letter with a form from my council.
best bet is to phone the issuing authority and ask them0 -
Our council automatically sends the form out before your current one runs out. The Post Office wouldn't be able to help. It is your local council who issues them.0

Kent County Council want a copy of the award letter to show you have 12points on mobility, but it has to be within the last 12 months even on just renewing a bb.0

It depends on your council
I got a blue badge without a single point from mobility DLA !!
I was assessed totally independantly from DWP benefits..0 -
I'm almost certain i renewed mine online last time. Don't think I've ever had a renewal reminder0

Contact your council asap. Please note it can take a few weeks to process."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

There has to be some leeway, as old people are expected to put up with more disability than younger people just to get AA (which doesn't even consider outdoor mobility), so there will be lots who would be housebound without transport help.0 -

Funnily enough I have just renewed mine. Checked with the council and they said can do it upto 6 weeks before expiry date. Went through the above link. Had to upload DLA, proof of address and a photo. Next day it was accepted and had to ring to pay the fee.0
