Moving, broadband, short contract?

Hello folks,

I'm hopefully moving this summer. I have a PlusNet fibre broadband deal which is going up by £1, so I can break the contract without penalty.

I'm only moving up the road, so hopefully fibre will be available in new house. But I wonder if it's better for me to change to a new short term deal on a rolling monthly contract? I think I pay £27.99 at the moment for fibre and landline. I'm happy with PlusNet, but I'll have to start a new contract when I move, and thought I may get a better deal in new place - and have a short term one in place before I go.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

It depends if you can find a short term provider, it might be better if you get a mobile sim with enough data. Could you do without the use of internet for the period ?

How long would you want 1 for ?

Who can cope without the internet? :) No, I'd need something in the interim, and I have no idea how long it'd be for....I suppose I'd hoped someone may have experience of a short term provider.

Also, I guess I could switch providers now, and then carry on with them if I get a better deal.

Hopeful move then i would see what the best deal is now and what PN offer when you contact them to cancel .
Decent offer and if you move you may be able to carry the deal forward to new home . But that will start a new contract term . Or you can pay the balance of the contract off .
If you expect to carry a contract forward make sure the ISP supplies the new property first .

All sorted. Thanks folks. Took up BT offer and can take it with me. £200 reward card and £80 cashback with Quidco, so I'll be up £20 after fees plus the reward card, only 12 mos contract.
