Hi sorry if in the wrong place
I am looking at getting a new handset on contract and was wondering if you can use a cash back site
If so what one and how do I do it ,
I have gone through bill monitor for a good deal and thought about using a cashback site also.
Thanks

There are 3 main cash back sites
    Quidco (https://www.quidco.com)
    Topcashback (https://www.topcashback.co.uk)
    and Imutual (http://www.imutual.co.uk)

I rarely use topcashback these days as it is too unreliable Quidco I use if the rate of return is greater than Imutual.

Nothing to lose using a cashback site if the contract price is the same and it is always to be seen as a bonus and not a guaranteed income.

If signing up for a cashback site best to get a referral from current user as they will benefit too.

Nothing to stop you having accounts with many cashback sites and if you have a few minutes every day then there are loads of daily clicks on Imutual that can help pay your phone bill.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

OP, you really need to look and compare for yourself as to working out which cashback site is best for you, because the amount you can get back will vary depending on what network you want to sign to, if you wanted to go through a third party (eg Carphone Warehouse or wherever rather than the network itself) and even what handset you are looking for can also affect what you can get back. Offers can also change per day, some will pre-warn you how much longer you have until that cashback deal ends, some will just pull the offer without warning.

If you have a set amount you want to spend, stick with it. Not all cashback does pay up, you can argue and complain and sometimes they will pay back what they promised, other times not.

Make sure if you go through a site (and there's not much to lose by doing so) that you clear all your cookies and anything that could block the pop-ups or tracking as this may mean your order is not tracked and you lose out.

If you have not signed up to a cashback site before, there is a referrers board on the site and people will have links which often benefits both you and them (or sometimes just them), check first if you want to help another MSE user.

I used Quidco for many years ( probably made more than any other member, since it was slightly more than I made with Topcashback later). I stopped using Quidco when they failed to ensure merchants paid. I then used TCB for a few years. After they went from a cooperative style ownership to a business they became purely interested in profit. I lost hundreds of pounds in cashback because of false promises from merchants and TCB was entirely dishonest and only interested in making money for themselves. After informing me that I was their highest ever earner but continuing to actively promote many merchants who never paid (just read the reviews!) I closed the account. I have been using Quidco, who are marginally better than before, but lately they are also allowing merchants to not pay on perfectly valid (and tracked) transactions.

Both sites have highest cashback guarantees where you can match that available from other sites) although the timeframe for registering such a claim is very tight with TCB.

GT60, in case you aren't aware, there is some turbulence in the mobile market at the moment due to impending changes to EU roaming. Prices and T&Cs have changed with Vodafone, are imminent with EE and not sure about the rest...

Basically EU roaming has to be offered from 15th June at no extra charge, so Vodafone put the price of contracts up a few days ago... EE have some changes WEF tomorrow (I think) but might not be increasing charges.

In addition, legislation came into force at the end of April requiring all contracts to have spending caps to avoid bill shock, it's the digital economy bill (there's a thread on here describing it). Nothing seems to have changed with the providers... heads in the sand. EE have a data spending cap but not on accidental dialling numbers outside your included ones. Three have an "all or nothing" overspend switch through their "My3" app. Some allow a user setting of £2, £5, etc.

    Interesting times...

I'm with Three (Advanced plan, SIM only, out of minimum contract time) and would prefer a contract that includes local numbers when roaming in the EU. Voda and EE include local calls, Three currently do not.

I'm in Spain at the moment, using Three's "feel at home" roaming arrangement. We travel to Spain a lot (5 times last year), so roaming and accidentally dialling chargeable numbers (my OH accidentally called an overseas number, which should have gone via Skype, and cost over £40) are subjects I try and keep an eye on!

    Good luck with your search.
