Just to say; it's not the plates on the door check stop / strap "banging" is it? Some of these French cars seem prone to the screws coming loose. (And other stuff. I know!)
Unfortunately not, the car had had quite some wear by the time I got it (I had just been made redundant and needed a car to increase job availability, so bought it the afternoon of redundancy as it was the only one driveable within my budget). It's the holes the hinges are connected to, they've stretched and warped or something, I don't remember what the garage said.
It's essentially a tin shed :rotfl:I can't add up.0 -

Really love bangernomics. After ditching the CLK55 AMG, about 8 years ago, I've stuck to cars under £1k because I could no longer bring myself to throw thousands at cars to fix every little thing that went wrong with it (the CLK was awful for build quality and reliability). I did buy one car that I had to get rid of after maybe 3 months and one that was just awful but I stuck with it for just over a year until it got so bad I had to bin it.
My favourite has to be the Volvo S60 2.4T which I picked up for £700. The gearbox was a bit dodgy (gearbox flare) but it would start up every time. I did need one coil pack replacing after about 6 months. I think I spent about £500 in total on getting things sorted over an 18 month period.
Then swapped it for an MGF and that's been fine (although it's not in a good state overall - rust "bubbles" can be found on most panels). Anyway, summer's here so all is good.0 -

Congratulations on that, it is a step forward, but not the Accord as promised. I expect because you're waiting for the owner of the Accord to visit you.
You have, though, rather carelessly, outed yourself once again as indeed being Darkmatter101 through the link you've used.
