Using inclusive mins to call abroad
Options
Hi
I was recently using this number - 07744 6888 11 -to call abroad using my mobile minutes on my package. But unfortunately the service has been suspended. Just wondering if anyone knows of any other numbers or providers that have a similar service.
Many thanks!

There is https://www.1899.com who have a freefone (0808) number and charge 1p per min to UK landlines, 2 or 3p for many EU land line numbers. I used them a lot in the past from a BT landline where you pre-dialled 1899 (hence the name), you register a card and they charge to the card when you've spent around £5.
Another option is to use Skype (top up first, pay as you call) which charges around 1.6p per min to most landlines in the majority of cases.0 -
Thanks for info. Was hoping to get a number where i can use my minutes as I have done before with no extra costs. I have skype but it also charges and you a relying on internet connection. That number I listed above was a life saver, unfortunately its no longer in use0

We call Spain a lot, the trick we mostly use is that our friends have dual SIM phones with a UK O2 SIM in the second slot... O2 don't charge for incoming calls while roaming in the EU and the outgoing call comes out of our inclusive minutes (that's a winner for both of us). The odd landline call is made via Skype out.0 -
There are numerous dial-through providers offering 03 access numbers. Calls to landlines in some destinations attract no further charges. Other destinations are separately billed by topping up a separate account in advance (by calling or texting a premium rate number) or by receiving a bill after making the call.
Some other dial-through providers offer free-to-caller 080 access numbers. The international leg of the call is paid for by topping up a separate account in advance (by calling or texting a premium rate number) or by receiving a bill after making the call.
If you have a deal with inclusive 0845 or 0870 numbers, there are still some dial-through providers that may be usable. Most landline and mobile providers try to exclude call-forwarding services from inclusive allowances as they are unwilling to fund the Service Charge without billing the caller for it.
For many years Ofcom has imposed a cap on the termination rates charged when calling mobile numbers, but only those belonging to the main mobile providers. The cap has been reduced on an annual basis, usually in April. In 2010 the cap was around 4p per minute. As of 1 April 2014 it was 0.82p per minute. As of 1 April 2015 it was 0.68p per minute. Other providers using 07 mobile numbers were told to charge "fair and reasonable rates" but not all complied.
The various international dial-through services using 07 mobile numbers used to have termination rates of up to 20p per minute and most mobile providers excluded these numbers from inclusive allowances. On 1 May 2015, Ofcom extended the cap on mobile termination rates such that it now covers all UK providers using 07 mobile numbers. This is why many of the call-forwarding services using 07 mobile numbers and relying on high termination charges to fund the service, have closed down. As of 1 April 2017 the cap is now 0.49p per minute.
Legitimate services either continue to use 07 mobile numbers but now bill separately for the international leg of the call or have changed their number. The new number could be 03, 080, 084 or 087, as discussed above.0 -

EG: https://www.freecallstousa.co.uk
Also it depends on what destination op wants to reach as they tend to be restricted.0 -
Another is https://www.callsdiscount.com who offer calls to a few Intl Destinations via a 0161 geographical number .E.G..Spain.0

Interesting. 07744 numbers are supposed to have been out of service for years.
The similar 07755 were being excluded from minute bundles also from a long time ago. They than ran with a range of set prices per minute on some networks, until most were replaced by 6 digit short codes.0
