So some 580mm away - This is within guidelines of between 300mm and 2000mm, and is a perfectly reasonable distance from the cooker. The "installer" was just trying to get out of doing the job methinks.

Yes I have this uneasy feeling about him trying to get out of doing the job. They turned up 20 minutes earlier than the time slot agreed on a Friday afternoon. Probably wanted to get home and start the weekend!0
