It is not billed as affixed price, unless you pay a year in advance.
Anyway, providers' fixed prices (nearly always) refer to the percentage discount and not the actual amount paid.0 -
Who said it was a fixed price contract?
I'm less than 2 months into my Plusnet contract. I have already told them I will be leaving because of the price rise.
Given that they have already sent me a £50 cashback cheque for signing up with them, they have totally shot themselves in the foot there. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
How are you getting notified of the price change, I joined PN a few months back, haven't had an email or anything from them.0

Did you prepay the line rental? I have and have had no notifications because that is a fixed price.
While it may well be annoying it isn't anything special. SFAIK only TalkTalk offer a fixed price over the contract term.0 -

Same here. We are not affected having paid in advance for line and the UK only Anytime price isn't changing, so wouldn't be able to leave penalty free.
I'm not very happy with the service, though it is miles better than for the first three months, but the new combined prices elsewhere don't seem as good, so we'll stick until haggling time.0 -

Yes another shot in the foot from regulators on broadband...but the new combined prices elsewhere don't seem as good
First Ofcom (I think) make the transfer process easier by making it winning ISP lead removing the "can I have a MAC?" "Why not have a price reduction?" conversation
Then the ASA combined pricing for the hard of thinking which seems to have resulted in an industry wide price hike.0 -

I got an email from Plusnet, titled "Important news about your service".If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
