Update
I called DWP at 0800 this morning and told them I wanted a reconsideration done
The lady said she would have a caseworker call me back
At 0930 the caseworker called me and told me that the assessment report is 27 pages long and that she will be sending it to me
We went through each question that scored zero...all twelve of them....and I basically told her what I told the assessment lady
I was very stressed out cos tbh she seemed to hear but not listen so it was a case of repeating myself alot to make sure that the message got through
The call ended at 1020
She will send the assessment report along with the confirmation of having the claim looked at again...or whatever they call it and a new decision will be sent in due course, her last words were "lets see if we can make this work in your favour"
So now I wait and stress out.....0 -

First step made then!
Please do not worry if the decision is not changed after reconsideration - most aren't. You can then go onto appeal at a tribunal.
And please go ahead and get some help for CAB/welfare adviser if you need to go to appeal.0 -

This
It is very easy for all of us to say don't stress - it much harder to actually do that. I know from my own experience - but do try not to worry
Unfortunately, it is a bit of a drawn out process but the appeal success rate at tribunal is pretty good (over 60% last time I looked)
As pmlindyloo says try and get some help/support with the appeal
The best of luck0 -
So today I received the copy of the assessment report and I cried
Everything that I told her, she reversed, got dates wrong, got information wrong
She literally heard but did not listen and typed a complete fabrication that came nowhere close to the truth and has made me out to be a liar and pretty much made me feel like a criminal
27 pages.....how I have no car but I have a licence to drive...when I told her all my licences were revoked by DVLA in 1998, how I can walk unaided when infact I used an elbow crutch and had knee braces on that included 1 straight leg brace.....
She called herself a nurse.....well if she is a nurse then I am Ton Thumb's grandma
:(:( It hurts so much that a so-called medical professional can do something like this.....I am angry, upset and emotionally/physically/mentally exhausted and if not for my best mate who has been my closest friend for almost 5 years, I feel that I might have ended it this morning after reading what she said

Hello I'm so sorry to read this post .
I've just read through the thread and wonder what medical evidence you sent with the pip claim .
You mention not going out . Do you manage to see your GP ?
If you see them for medication checks etc and also any other professionals for treatment etc did you send reports from them ?
As already said MR is often unsuccessful so your target is to have all possible evidence ready for appeal if that is where this goes .
You mention a dear friend is this the person you speak to on skype or someone nearby ?
You do need some support to help you . CAB as mentioned or other agencies will need to be involved . Contacting your GP is also a good idea .
I wish you good luck , please don't allow the actions of one person allow you to give up . As Pandora said there is always Hope .
Take care

I have not been further than the wheelie bin since October 13, 2015.....reasons are too much pain, fatigue, IBS issues (which she said was constipation)
I peak to my GP via phone appointments and she comes out if she feels it necesssary, medications are on permanent refill and they are sent electronically from GP to pharmacy and delivered to me
My best mate is in Belgium and is at work right now, I try not to let on that I am down cos he has enough on his plate and I hate offloading onto him
Medical evidence was the same as my ESA from IB/Incap changeover, 40 or so pages/letters/scans etc
They did not bother reading it.....just as the assessor did not bother to listen0 -

It may seem odd - but I think such a flawed medical assessment can only help at your appeal.
If you point out to the tribunal the inaccuracies in the report, it greatly reduces its credibility as valid evidence in the eyes of the tribunal.
Have you had a chance to look at the How to win a PIP appeal Advicenow guide I linked to earlier in post 5?
This takes you through the appeal process.
When you get your MR letter back from the DWP, do let us know the outcome.
I would expect you will need to take it to the Tribunal Service, as the DWP rarely chance their decisions.. Don't worry about this as the TS are much more thorough than ATOS. It's your chance to get a flawed decision put right. Do take it.
This is the form to appeal to the TS (if you need it):
https://formfinder.hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.uk/sscs001-eng.pdf
It is possible for the tribunal to hold a telephone hearing. I suggest (when your appeal is lodged with the TS) it is worth ringing the Tribunal Service in Cardiff and discussing this.
Ideally you should attend, so that you can explain how your day-to-day life is limited by your conditions. But if this is not possible for you, then a telephone hearing is much better than a paper hearing, as you still have an opportunity to tell the panel about how you struggle with the PIP activities / descriptors, and can clarify points with them.
Have you gone through the PIP points and established where you score the necessary 8 points? See my earlier post 5 for this link.
Can you get medical evidence from your GP linked to the PIP descriptors? - again see the PIP appeal guide.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Hello again . You mention medical evidence was the same as for your ESA claim . Did your doctor write a new letter for your PIP claim?
Alice is mentioning the PIP descriptors as they are looking at your evidence in a different way from an ESA claim .
I understand not everyone has printers etc but were you able to copy the completed forms for both benefits before sending off the originals?
If you did it's worth cross checking the latest form with the link Alice posted .
The telephone hearing sounds a much better plan for you .
Meanwhile please contact CAB and try to arrange for help with dealing with this .
I would also ask for a GP visit to discuss this and also explore some sort of support .

I have no printer access....so will have to have DWP send me the forms
Tbh I am not looking that far ahead right now, just really disillusioned with the whole thing and in quite alot of pain today too, which is not helping matters0 -

The DWP are unlikely to send you the SSCS1 form.
The tribunal service might. - 0300 123 1142
My advice would be to contact your local CAB, discuss things with them, and ask them to put a SSCS1 form in the post to you. Do this now, before you get the MR letter.
You only have 1 month to return the SSCS1 form from the date of the MR response letter.
CAB's are very busy - so your email / tel call may take time to get through.
Please don't leave this to the last minute!Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0
