Some of the layout of their website is similar to another , owned by these people with contacts to a l u t o n Address and see the links below.

Does any of that sound familiar , see Pages two and three

    This one?

I'd love to know which parts are similar, other than that they sell the same thing!

I cut and paste part of their website and that is what is similar, as I already said.

I've put as few links as possible to avoid causing the op possible problems........
And to avoid identifying the companies in a google search.....
Bearing in mind the M.O. of such ' companies' ..........
    C'mon...:(

I can't see any cut and paste, only links about a prosecution. Please clarify what is similar.

We have no evidence that the criminals you link to are anything to do with the company the OP linked to. You are causing problems for the OP by making such a suggestion without checking your facts first.

My uncle has a very similar company, he has been in business for over twenty years and is the most honest person you could hope to meet. Please elaborate on the M.O. of such companies!

No, there's no need for me to do this.
If the op says there is no similarities , that's fine at this point but later to satisfy your curiosity I will show you what I put time and effort into doing for the op.
I'm not in the habit of not checking my facts, as you would know if you'd been posting longer.

No I didn't say there is evidence , just a website using the same text , and I have asked the op if he recognises any of this. I hope he doesn't .
If there was evidence I'd be pm ing him .
Your uncle runs a business which he says has been run for twenty years yet it's website only set up last year? He uses an expired po box address, and cold calls? He gets customers to sign disclaimers on the doorstep?

If you're going to post defamatory statements then there is a need for you to back them up, yes. You could have privately asked the OP if the same people were connected, not posted insinuating similarities on a widely read forum.

My uncle doesn't even have a website, many small businesses don't. That doesn't mean they do not exist, or that they have some anterior motive. And when times were tough they would door knock, yes, it's the nature of the industry.

I'm afraid thats incorrect. Many contracts do have a statutory cooling off period but many do not.

Perhaps you'd like to read your own link. Specifically, the part titled:
When you don’t get 14 days to cancel

If you went into the business’s shop or premises to arrange the service you won’t get this cooling-off period.

You also won’t get a cooling-off period for:

accommodation (eg a hotel room or a short-term let)
transport of goods (including courier services)
    vehicle rental services
catering or leisure activities for specific dates (eg hotel and restaurant bookings, theatre tickets, catering for a wedding or party)

Which is rather at odds with your earlier post stating:
