Car hire-booster seats £6 per day-ANY IDEAS?

Options
Hi guys,

I have booked a wee 3 night break to Bournemouth for the October hols for the family.(myself, better half and 2 kids)

As usual trying to keep the cost down, got cheap flights with Ryanair and reasonable hotel rates in Travelodge.

Hiring a car with hertz which is reasonable I thought(£78 ford focus). However they want £36 for 3 days hire of 2 boosters.

A bit much, given that you can buy them in my local supermarket for £7 each.
I can't really take our own because they don't fit in the handluggage( yes, i never booked any extra luggage, so just the wee cases)

Has anyone had this dilema before ?

Could I just take them in a carrier bag( 2 mini cases and 2 carrier bags)?

Or just buy 2 down there and give them away afterwards?

Ay ideas?

Thanks

Paul

buying 2 there and throwing them away is cheaper than renting, so why not?

dont forget you can all take hand luggage, use holdalls instead if cases they hold more and you can tape them up so they are more compact, i would put your childrens clothing in 1 holdall and the 2 booser seats in another, along with you and your wifes baggage. EG: if 4 seats have been paid for you can take 4 hand luggage 10kg each paid seat...
  • i fly regular with ryanair to spain, my 5 yr old son is he had his own trolly case which i load up with goodies for my brother (who lives out there) and he pulls it along to the boarding gate, i always carry it on the plan,i carry all our clothing in a holdall it hold twice as much as the small trollycase. i have never been stopped or has anything ever been said as it's his hand luggage..

We booked a holiday with this company, Expat Cars in Thailand, and they sorted one out for us free to keep our booking. I does hurt to ask for a freebie.
