First Time Buyer - Mortgage Application with Halifax at Valuation stage

Hello,
Have followed these posts for sometime now and have gathered quite a bit of useful information from them, was wondering if anyone could help or provide me with any further details as per below query.
My girlfriend and I are currently applying for a Mortgage via our broker with Halifax, we have previously received a Decision in Principle from them.
Loan to Value is 75% of the property and Halifax have currently only requested to see payslips from both us as documentation. I was advised yesterday (03/05) by our broker, Halifax are happy with the payslips (a hard credit search was carried out on 02/05) and she is just awaiting for them to instruct the Valuation Survey. Once this comes back she believes the mortgage offer will be issued.
As I am first-time buyer and please excuse me for any ignorance, can anyone who has been through a Mortgage application, especially with Halifax, advise what further steps are still left in the Application? Will they be requiring any further documentation or looking at Credit files in anymore detail? I assume being at Valuation stage is a positive sign, but I am somewhat wary as have read many stories on here about Lenders pulling out for various reasons.
Thanks and appreciate anyone's help in advance
